Dear Diary...

I officially got my LLC!

(This is a more nerdy post haha)

Honestly it was way simpler then I originally thought and was pretty fun doing all the more "legal side quests" most of what I have been doing the last few months for my photography business has been working working on it rather then in it, I'm rebranding quite a bit so that's taking longer then expected and while I have been doing the whole taxes thing getting my LLC and EIN, Insurance and a business bank account all felt like a lot to do, so typical type A fashion I chose to do them all in a day or two rather then pacing myself lol

Why didn't I already have that stuff?

LLC: I didn't really need it! (The answer for most of this) getting my LLC was more a far out goal then a needed thing since it helps out more in a tangle then anything, also it just in general helps my company seem more established haha.

EIN: It's my employee identification number and I really did not need this unless I was shooting to open a business bank account, which is a good idea, but I have always kept my business funds separate so it just seemed like a chore...

Insurance: This seems like the one I should have had all along but since I personally never had an issue and also never worked at venues that required it up to this point I just didn't!

Next month I'm shooting my first insurance required gig so now I have it!

Most of the things on this list are things that while praying over my business God made very clear to me that I couldn't move forward without, then with getting married I all but stopped working on

Jean Estelle Photography, LLC (Pretty swanky huh? lol)

And solely worked in the business, just doing whatever I booked and not worrying too much about reaching more people.

But the statement was pretty clear, I was 100% gonna stay exactly where I was till I put some of these things into place! So here we go Jesus!

It's pretty exciting for me and while this might not be my most interesting post ever to anyone else, it's pretty raw and real over here!

Gratefully, Jean Estelle
