So There are a lot of things I love about photography...
But I'm gonna keep it to my top 3.
3 of my top moments while learning this craft...

This could be so long but I'll keep it short, I don't think I've ever been more nervous photography-wise then pulling up to my first wedding, I didn't second shoot for anyone else at first and so my first wedding was literally my very very first, communication with the couple (Thank God for both of them!) and them giving me a chance was everything, I cannot say enough about chill couples... When I sheepishly explained that I've never done a whole wedding before (other then one star trek wedding when I was 13 haha) They responded with the sweetest of responses... "We haven't ever gotten married before either so it's a first for both of us!" If you're getting married and want to save a little money by hiring a new photographer GO YOU! Everyone has to start somewhere, but be sure to keep this calm attitude and be patient and clear on what you expect, I've heard horror stories but thankfully this day was NOT one! I have an instagram post about that day if you wanna hear the sappy stuff there.

I pulled up to the horse barn, And she stepped out, ready for her graduation sesh... All my clients are models but to be clear she was for sure one, she knew she was photogenic, and not in a "I'm that girl" way, she didn't take the convincing and prodding to accept that she was stunning, she wanted to document a celebration and her youth and she did not come to play...
I think it's so needed to say that when you know who you are and how beautiful you are, where your real value is you will 1000% enjoy your photos more, they become more about capturing the celebration then hoping I can eliminate whatever insecurities you brought to the session, I have a tummy too btw! But when I figured out that the photo is to celebrate something amazing, even if it's just life not to "fix" anything I don't like about myself... I actually started loving photos I'm in, Yup, you heard it here... The photographer who hated photos of themself.
I cannot fix with a camera and some photoshop what you refuse to believe about yourself.
You're beautiful.

Ok so this is honestly one thing I don't get enough requests for...
Of all the sessions I've done, I don't care what your view is on animals in your family photos, I'll say it loud and proud, I HAVE NEVER SEEN PEOPLE MORE COMFORTABLE IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA
THEN A DUDE WITH HIS DOG.
I would guess that having your best bud makes a stranger taking photos somehow easier, and I could see that! If they are a part of your family in every other way bring them along! I promise I'll get a few shots without them too, Dogs just add this comfy happy energy to every session that makes everything so so happy.
Whats my favorite moment with pets? ALL OF THEM, YOU READ THAT RIGHT...
I've always had a blast at sessions with your best friends.
