Choosing your photographer is not something I (or you) should take lightly!
I also know this whole guide might seem a little long at first, and that’s because I value your time!
By the time you’re done reading over this guide, I hope to have answered every question you have—from who I am, my style, and the experience to what to expect, how much each collection is, exactly how customizable each one is, and how to move on from here!
Phew, that’s a lot! But that’s what I’m here for! The crazy big moments and everything between them. Let’s get started. 💛

What makes me different?
My number one goal with every Elopement I get to help plan is first off to serve, I want to show up at every stage of this season for you, in the most helpful ways possible.
I’d like to be person in your corner who gets to enable you to march, no RUN on that day with the love of your life without having to look back.
I don't take this lightly, and while you're here you'll notice I don't offer packages for less then six hours, this is an intentional choice!
A LOT of people assume that since they are Eloping, they are automatically just not getting a wedding day.
Nothing could be further from the truth!
Are you still getting ready? Still getting into your dream dress? Still going to have dinner after? You can still have a wedding day! Eloping just means that it doesn't have to flow in any traditional way, there's nothing holding you back from flying to Italy and doing a Pasta tasting tour after your vows by the Dolomites, or Visiting every historical spot in town if you're a history buff in your wedding duds and getting married on the steps of town hall.
Honestly? Eloping doesn't even mean you can't have family or friends come too if you want! It just means it's intimate, it's about you and your story and that the MAIN FOCUS will be you both over anything.
And guess what? If you have NO idea what you would do with all that extra time? I'm here to help!
I want to help you catch and capture every moment of intimacy I can, so not just when you look back on your day, you see stunning photos of one of the most beautiful times in your life, and WHILE YOU'RE STILL THERE, the only thing you're doing is laughing, and loving with the people who make it all worthwhile, not worrying, and taking yourself out of the moments you've fought so hard to pour your soul into.

I'm a photographer who prefers to keep things as honest and cozy as possible, that being said I am also extremely drawn to high emotion shots and that means movement is infused as much as possible! I don’t want to stand around forcing “perfect moments” while taking photos of anyone's fake smiles, when you’d rather be enjoying your day, your people, your moments, I never want to rip you out of those because they only come around once.
I really want you to have MEMORIES not just nice prints!
You absolutely can be assured of getting some happy print-it-off- and-mail-it-to-Mom photos, but I try to blend them in with prompts to get you moving and having fun over feeling forced and stiff.

An Additional Photographer
For added piece of mind, and guaranteed coverage of all the moments that matter I’ll bring a trusted professional to second shoot alongside me for your day.
This is definitely for the couple that values details and guests presence, while we sneak away for some golden hour portraits and a breather? My second shooter is covering cocktail hour and getting all the reactions from your sister and brother pranking your Dad one more time by the appetizers.

Additional coverage/time
If none of the timeframes on the above collections work perfectly or the day or night just goes long and you want to keep the coverage of your celebration going? I've got you!
You can either add additional time during the booking process or add time during the celebration, just let me know!

Six weeks feel like forever?
Add priority editing to guarantee that you receive your complete wedding day gallery within eight days after your Wedding.
This add on assures you that I set aside the due time to sit down directly after your day to edit quickly but with the same quality as a day I have six weeks to work on while shooting other projects.
Your gallery get's priority so the following days after your wedding are blocked out from all sessions, events, other projects, gatherings and business calls and I fully focus on your story told in digital form.

Your Elopement and the days leading up to your day is totally up to you and I love how so many couples are taking the time to enjoy their days their own way!

Grand city all day tasting tours followed the next day by brunch and vows,

Step One
You’re in the midst of it actually!
You inquired, and by the time you’ve finished reading this you will have everything you need to know about before your next step.
Step Two
Book your consult call to put a voice to the name, then if you have any questions leftover this is your time to ask any and everything! And if not, it still is! I wanna get to know you both better, listen to your love story and hear your heart for your dream days.
You can also ask more about me and anything in-between.
After our legendary call, I will send you a proposal to your email as well as notes from our call.
Your proposal will detail everything you’ve asked for to enhance your Photography Collection and the total cost.
Step Three
Once everything is approved, I'll send you an invoice for the 25% retainer and contract and then once that's all taken care of your date is locked in, and so am I!
I’m here for whatever you need and what I know you have free access to!
(Your retainer is to hold your day, book any flights or rentals needed in advance, and cover any time client communication is needed)
Step Four
NOW the planning begins! I will send you both a full questionnaire to begin lining up what activities and items your one of a kind elopement should have along with any suggestions and notes from both of you I will review and study over all this and send you both back a LIST of ideas, suggestions, locations, drive times etc for you to easily mix and match what sounds like the most fun to both of you and then I send you a complete timeline for your day with everything we've discussed!
Step Five
Close your eyes and imagine - well, actually, keep them open and read but still, IMAGINE...
Today you get to marry the love of your life and every open and closed door has led to this person right here.
Woah.
I will be there as both your friend so beyond happy for you guys as well as your help to serve throughout your day, think of me as a bestie with a camera because that’s the energy I’m bringing along.
It’s your day and I will document and defend your ability to stay there in those perfect moments with everything I’ve got.
I’ll be capturing candids, documenting real emotions and yes, when the time comes, getting all the perfect spell-binding-love story-end of The Notebook type-tear wrenchingly good-Freaking DARCY WALKING THROUGH THE FOG, type of cinematic couples portraits and whatever else we’ve lined up together.
Step Six
Delivery, your sneak peeks will be ready for you within 48 hours of your wedding.
Your full custom and private gallery will be available for your reliving pleasure and delivered within six weeks.

What's an Elopement?
An Elopement is a private day, half day or for some a few hours of time dedicated just to the couple, it's zero performance and 100% investment in your love, your story, your journey together.
This doesn't mean you can't invite your friends, but elopements are typically considerably smaller then even intimate weddings, ranging from 20 members of your inner circle to just the two of you!
It's just about you both and the covenant you're entering into together.
What do we do during a whole day elopement?
WHATEVER YOU WANT!

How do you help keep my Elopement stress free?
So this might sound like a lot from a photographer, but photography is NOT the most important part of your day It can however set the tone for the day! So instead of me spending the day calling the shots I'd rather capture them, I'll intentionally capture a mixture of candids as I document what happened as well as encourage you to lean in to your love (sometimes literally haha) to capture what it felt like.
I'm not here to rush you around and tell you what to do! Are you having a BLAST just enjoying the view or found a little shop you'd love to try?
I've got you.
If I can tell there will be more time later (Which is why I always plan with timelines!) there's never a rush.
Be IN your day, the rest will work itself out.
Do you travel?
Yes, Yes I do.
I've done captured couples in Hawaii, Colorado, Tennessee, all over and have a huge "hit list" of places I'm dying to go so fear not cause wherever you, are my bags are packed and ready to go!
All travel is included in my pricing so no guess work or math for you!
What to expect on our day?
A date.
That's what I want you to think of your Elopement as without question, dress like you mean it, and get ready to have fun with your very best friend become one in the very best way!
What days of the week do you shoot elopements on?
Weekdays!
Most areas are very peopley during the weekend and not only can that disturb the photography it can also distract and cause unexpected waits and delays for both of you!
(If you wanted your honeymoon to start on Saturday no worries, I just only take weekday elopement bookings.)
How will we get our photos?
I send you a private digital gallery just brimming with your amazing selves!
For your Elopement my minimum of photos delivered is 400
But I never cap my photos so you will get every jaw dropper I edit of you!
How would you describe your style?
I would say Earthy, Warm, Film inspired.
I have a thing for movement and love capturing your raw emotions way more than just your amazing smile, I want your whole dang story in your photos <3
You were here, you were real, and what you did and who you loved made an impact.
I'm all about capturing how it felt!
Do you use Photoshop or AI?
Not really no!
I rely on natural lighting for almost all my photos (unless indoors or at night). If there’s a temporary blemish that isn’t typical for you, I can certainly take care of that. However, outside of that,
I don’t use Photoshop.
I'm also not a huge fan of AI as a whole so I do not chose to use it to mass edit my photos, it's all done by hand just for you!
(Don’t worry, you will look stunningly yourself in every photo.)
What if our photos are not exactly what we envisioned?
If you don’t absolutely LOVE the photos, please let me know when you receive your sneak peeks!
I’m happy to work with you to ensure that the edits and lighting align perfectly with your expectations and the style we discussed together.
What about the weather?
Basically, that's up to you both! I am happy to reschedule the time or adapt if the weather is not willing to work with us, however, it completely depends on what it looks like, I generally would advocate to go on anyway despite the weather because it's really the way it was, plus more fun then you would believe if you'll embrace it and let nature take it’s course! If you two are not scared of melting, I'm not either. Let's go.
What if there's an emergency and you cannot make our day?
In the event of a life or death emergency I would be in connect with you as soon as possible! If I could no longer shoot your day I would do my best to provide an associate shooter to do the day for me and I would still edit your photos.
In the case that this is not possible or you would rather find another photographer you would receive a refund of your wedding total minus your retainer.
If I'm actually dead (lol) and my team associate cannot serve you or find a replacement, you would receive a full refund minus the retainer.
Can I get the RAW or Unedited images?
No, If for some reason you are not thrilled with your photos edits then please ask and I will be happy to work with you within the bounds of my featured editing style.
The editing process is at least half the art for me and I fully believe in and love the process and effort that I have put into learning and developing each image and my own personal skill and style.
So I will not release them represented as anything less then that!
I absolutely plead with you to look at my work or any photographers before booking with them.
You'll even for sure hear it at least once on our first consultation call or meeting me ask you if, "You've had a chance to check out my work?"
I'm not just fishing for compliments!
This is just part of the process, and I for sure do not want you getting less then you paid for - so it's sooo important to make sure you LOVE what your photographer's putting out!
Along with that...
I maintain the rights to all the photography provided for future graphics advertisements, and use on social media.
You as the clients have every right to print, copy, post and basically do what you will with the photos as long as credit for said photos is placed with Jean Estelle Photography.
(This does NOT allow overlaying filters or adding edits to the images I will contact you if this happens as it is potentially damaging to my business)
We know what area in general but where should we have our ceremony?
I'm totally happy to help you select the perfect location! Plus I always scout your selected area for the best spots so you can make an informed choice or let me lead and be surprised!
Are there any activities we could do after the day of our elopement?
After your Elopement coverage ends you'll still have a full list of activities for that area that we put together for you! Feel free to explore and try something new together as husband and wife!
Where should we stay while in the area?
I am more than happy to provide a list of hotels and Airbnbs to suit your taste that you can look over and book to stay in the best spots to your location.
Hair, Makeup, Officiant? Would you book all that for us?
I'll provide recommendations based on your area and upon request (And if I don't have someone in mind I'll find someone for you!) And then You would book them and communicate your needs, (I'll keep them up to date on timelines etc though!)
Do I still do an engagement session if I’m eloping?
A lot of people do!
It's such a fleeting time of your life why not?
You definitely can still send out cards letting everyone know you're getting married and eloping too but I would get them for no other reason then to remember that one little slice of your journey together!
I've never done this before, but I like your stuff?
Guess what? Most people who are getting married haven't done it before either!
The simplest way to take the next step is definitely to fill out the contact form.
You probably have had to fill out a bunch of these already so I kept it as short as possible for ya!
And let's get talking about your day! I want to get into allllll the details with you and see the Pinterest boards and the dress pictures and just generally get to love on you!
I WANT to help you and serve you both as much as I can to get you to the day you both dreamed of.

So how does payment work?
So here is how payment works! Yaaaay! Nitty Gritty stuff...
To keep it all simple…
25% of your total price quoted needs to be paid in order to book your date.
(This is your non-refundable retainer that will go toward your final payment)
The remaining amount will be due 1 month before the wedding, And you’re more than welcome to pay that payment anytime before that date as well!
After the retainer is paid and contract signed is when your booking is confirmed, but the total amount must be paid One Month before the agreed ceremony date.
(There will be a 3% card processing fee added to all payments)

My Mission Statement
I had one goal when starting this business, and that was to follow God's leading wherever He was, but I have seen the sharp pain in our society that has led most to not accept or know who we are and who
we are made to be.
And there's a startling lack of true love and honesty in photography, I've seen where people value perfection over actual connection, and dishonesty is welcomed to further the goal of seeming "perfect" or "flawless" to others...
That is not what we do here.
Jean Estelle Photography's goal as a business is to use photography and the platform it holds in the world to provide love and connection and to show both through honesty to everyone I can serve in a way that honors Jesus Christ.
if we laugh or if we cry we'll do it together, stray windy hairs, curves, scars and wrinkles included.
When we capture our moments honestly we will use it as a sometimes gentle, sometimes from-the-hip reminder to ourselves and everyone else that real people are the most beautiful where they're at.
