The first thing I’d like to say is that I never want to waste your time. I know you might be iin the midst of planning, celebrating, or even just wanting a fun date night and everything in between, and I get that!
Choosing your photographer is not something I (or you) should take lightly!
I also know this whole guide might seem a little long at first, but that’s because I value your time enough to make sure you know you're getting way more than you could even hope here.
By the time you’re done reading over this guide, I hope to have answered every question you have—from who I am, my style, and the experience to what to expect, how much your session is, exactly how customizable it is, and how to move on from here!
Phew, that’s a lot! But that’s what I’m here for! The crazy big moments and everything between them. Let’s get started. 💛

I’m just gonna do a very quick “who I am” breakdown for you here,
I am sold out for Jesus.
A wife to Brandon.
A student of emotion.
A reader of all things Old English authors - think Victor Hugo, Jane Austen, C.S Lewis etc.
Hobbies? Watching movies with my husband, exploring new places, planning trips, and somehow cleaning lol
My worst day? Whenever I am feeling disconnected from my people.
My best day? Getting to use every talent God gave me and neuron in my head to help someone get to the freedom and joy they’ve been searching for.
Where will you find me most days?
I’m very much a “can do, will do” kinda girl so all over, but if Brandon is home that’s where I am.
I’m SO happy you’re here, I think that means something.
It means to me you don't just want "another photo" You want memories to last a lifetime, and a legacy for the next.
What makes me different?
Honestly I doubt highly you've ever even heard of a date night photographer before, and that's ok! The main thing is that I am here, ready and willing to plan your entire date adventure just for you with you in mind, this is more like a scavenger hunt of love then it is a photoshoot and I want you to know first thing that
ONE - You won't be left feeling awkward or not knowing what's next, I'll make sure before we even get started that you always know where to look and what to do with your hands!
and TWO - That I'm here to capture your love story first and always, this isn't about the perfect curation, it's about making sure you have the best photos to go along with even better memories.

Do you like old movies?
Where the sunset is blazing by the last scene and every second feels focused on the emotions in those moments?
That’s the whole vibe.
I center every shot on your story and let that be the guide for the day, the way you look at each other, the way you laugh at your own movements and find comfort in each others' presence.
I get my inspiration from your love.
From old love stories.
And from the ever unraveling love story I get to be a part of.
I'm a photographer who prefers to keep things as honest and cozy as possible, that being said I am also extremely drawn to high emotion shots and that means movement is infused as much as possible! I don’t want to stand around forcing “perfect moments” while taking photos of anyone's fake smiles, when you’d rather be enjoying your day, your people, your moments, I never want to rip you out of those because they only come around once.
I really want you to have MEMORIES not just nice prints!
You absolutely can be assured of getting some happy print-it-off- and-mail-it-to-Mom photos, but I try to blend them in with prompts to get you moving and having fun over feeling forced and stiff.

The Lovers Dare session
Let’s be so dang real right now,
sessions are fun but sometimes can feel a little stuffy, posed and end a little deflated feeling, when they are over and the sun has set you’re left with some real-life questions…
“Photos are done great! Now what?”
“This was starting to feel like the most fun date night but now it’s over…”
“Where are we going for dinner?”
“We got all dressed up, it seems like a waste for the night to end buuuut we didn’t really plan on staying up much later and have work in the morning so better hit it home.”

My Lovers dare sessions are designed just for the hopelessly in love couple who wants more then just another session, they want a date night to remember.
You’re not going to plan this one for minutes after work or right before the kids get out of school, it’s not going to “fit into” your day it’s going to be the gold circle on your calendar.
Because you’re not penciling this in, you’re pulling out an ink pen or a sharpie and stamping the fact that YOUR LOVE DARES on your calendar, YOUR LOVE DARES to be adventurous, try new things, explore each other, plan on each other and get to love the heck out of each other for one night of romantic adventure.

This is what you’re session will look like…
We meet, I’ve already scouted the location(s) for any potential spots for a great shot, then the two of you take the lead, this is a documented date, not a photo session.
Have you ever wondered what you both looked like when you’re in sync and blissfully unaware?

I use a combination of long lenses and a little pre-workshopped magic to maintain your connection the best I can as I play the fly on the wall through some memorable moments you are going to create together.

An Additional Photographer
Different angles, different perspective!
This is definitely for the couple that values details and all the moments!
You're on a bridge dancing in the rain? My second shooter is covering you from below getting all the angles and making sure we don't miss any of the steam while I am with you getting all the close ups.
Every angle you didn't know you needed.
An additional $200.
Additional coverage/time
If you want your date to go all day or even just are interested in more than 2 locations it might be a good idea to add time to your plan!
Let's make sure we always have enough!
$150/hour if added during our consult call.
$200/hour if added the day of.
(You'll receive an invoice for the additional time after your sneak peaks have been delivered)
Expedited delivery 24 hours
Two weeks feel like forever?
Add priority editing to guarantee that you receive your complete gallery within 24 hours will be in your inbox.
This add on assures you that I set aside the due time to sit down directly after your session to totally focus on just your session without stopping for any other projects.
Your gallery get's priority's the day after your session is blocked out from all sessions, events, other projects, gatherings and business calls and I fully focus on your story told in digital form.
(This add-on must be requested during your call!)

Film add on
35 mm film to capture your day the old fashion way, all the grit and mood ready for your session.
2 rolls of film exposures added to your gallery.
$150/hour if added during our consult call.
$200/hour if added the day of.
(You'll receive the film photos 4 weeks post session at the latest and cannot be expedited due to their sensitive nature)

She and her husband Brandon demonstrated poses for us that would photograph well but we also had a lot of creative direction!
Jean arrived 45 min before the scheduled shoot to scout the location which was impressive.
All texts prior to the shoot were returned promptly, paying the retainer and the balance was a breeze, and most of all the quality of the photos is phenomenal.
I asked for grainy, film, editorial style and Jean delivered!
You could not tell it was 86 degrees out and humid by looking at the finished images.

The Experience
Step One
You’re in the midst of it actually!
You inquired, and by the time you’ve finished reading this you will have everything you need to know about before your next step.
Step Two
Book your consult call to put a voice to the name, then if you have any questions leftover this is your time to ask any and everything! And if not, it still is! I wanna get to know you both better, listen to your love story and hear what you'd like your session to feel like..
Here you can also ask more about me and anything in-between.
After our legendary call, if you are ready I will send you a proposal email as well as notes from our call.
Your proposal will detail everything we've talked about and your total cost!
(If your Lovers Dare Session is being added on to your wedding collection this will still be a touch point for us, but your proposal and cost will be added to your wedding collection proposal)
Step Three
Once everything is approved, I'll send you an invoice for the 25% retainer and contract and then once that's all taken care of your date is locked in, and so am I!
I’m here for whatever you need and what I know you have free access to!
Step Four
Let's freaking go.
We'll meet up and get right into it!
You get to spend the next few hours having one of those dates you tell your grandchildren about and you didn't have to plan a darn thing you didn't want to.
You don't feel awkward you feel like a movie star in the very best part of the movie, you're walking hand in hand with your love and just having so much fun! And the whole time knowing you're about to get the beesssst photos back in just two weeks.

Step Five
Delivery, your sneak peeks will be ready for you within 24 hours of your session.
Your full custom and private gallery will be available for your reliving pleasure and delivered within 2 weeks.
(Online guaranteed for up to one year)
And plenty of surprises along the way!

FAQ
We're super awkward, can you handle that?
Yes!
Just as an example of what you can expect, if you look across the table while you're on a date with your love, do you think "Wow, they are sooo awkward, gross??"
No? Ok, well the whole date is centered around what you want, love and enjoy with a little spice thrown in, I'll make sure you know what to do with your hands, where to look, all that, but more importantly lovers sessions is for just that, those in love.
You'll be a little too busy having fun to worry about being awkward and your photos are gonna show it <3
can we choose the location for our shoot?
Absolutely!
Part of the planning is totally logistical, if there is a spot that you have burning on your heart I'd love to help make that happen!
How long does a typical photo session last?
The Lovers session isn't exactly like your average couples session, you're going on a date!
How long does that normally last?
Two hours? Three? I plan about two hours of photography coverage unless you need more and 30 minutes on each end of buffer/fun time so we're not rushed! But even after I'm gone, the date part only ends when you decide it does!
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I know you're going to be sooo excited to get your album so just know I'm just as excited to get them to you!
You will receive a sneak peak of your album within 24 hours and your full gallery within just 14 days!
(And you can definitely opt for an add on to get them sooner!)
What happens if the weather bad on the day of an outdoor shoot?
If the weather doesn't "cooperate" on the day of an outdoor shoot, we can discuss alternatives such as rescheduling the session or finding an indoor location buuuut I say let's lean into it!
I mean have you seen "The notebook?"
We'll be ok with a little water, ;)
How does payment and booking work?
So here is how payment works! Yaaaay! Nitty Gritty stuff...
To keep it all simple…
25% of your total price quoted needs to be paid in order to book your date.
(This is your non-refundable retainer that will go toward your final payment)
After the retainer is paid and contract signed is when your booking is confirmed!
The remaining amount will be due 1 week before your session date, And you’re more than welcome to pay that anytime before that date as well. 😊
